Simplicissimus : Handcrafted Elegance in Milan

Lampadario Simplicissimus in vetro di Murano realizzato da Multiforme, installato in un appartamento a Milano progettato dallo studio Marchetti Demaria

The Simplicissimus collection illuminates a sophisticated Milanese interior

In the heart of Milan’s vibrant Porta Romana district, a private apartment has been brought back to life through the vision of Marchetti Demaria Architetti. The project took on a bold challenge: to give new identity to a residence that had been completely stripped of its original layout, reinterpreting the space with a contemporary and refined architectural language.
Developed across two levels, the design plays with the varying ceiling heights to establish distinct spatial and perceptual hierarchies. The choice of materials is both eclectic and luxurious: burl wood, satin-finish stainless steel, brass, oak wood panelling, and fine marble come together in harmony, shaping a sophisticated and highly tactile atmosphere.

Light as function, decoration and narrative

Within this richly characterful setting, our Simplicissimus chandeliers integrate seamlessly, enhancing the project’s identity. Their discreet yet elegant aesthetic—drawing inspiration from classical design reimagined through a minimalist lens—perfectly complements the refined blend of finishes and textures that define the interior.
Hand-blown and crafted by skilled artisans, Simplicissimus stands out for its clean lines, attention to detail, and compositional versatility. In this project, the chandeliers act as quiet protagonists – engaging with the space without dominating it, helping to shape the atmosphere with balance and sophistication.
A perfect synergy between our artisanal expertise and the designers’ creative vision.
