lampadario in vetro di murano, dettaglio

A Hamptons-style home with original touches, perfectly combining two key elements: light and exclusivity.
Villa Virginia is owned by the Bocelli family, named after little Virginia, and has been the subject of a careful reorganisation of all its interior and exterior spaces by Barberini&Gunnell design studio.

The client chose a number of Limited Edition works for the living area with the intention of creating an exclusive environment: a true contemporary art gallery. The delicate nuances of green onyx, which were used for the kitchen top and the console, alternate with the stronger colours of the coffee table in orange onyx. Intense amber tones are also used in Multiforme’s Tourbillon chandelier, made of Murano glass and placed above a bespoke glass and chrome table.

Tourbillon is a Murano glass chandelier with a unique style. A work of light in contemporary style with organic and fluid shapes. Wide and dynamic hand-shaped extensions fill the space with lightness and vitality. A large blown glass sphere acts as a pivot around which the entire composition develops. The only element in contrast with the movement of the glass is the classic static nature of the fabric lampshades, handcrafted with a simple cylindrical shape.

The Tourbillon Murano glass chandelier interprets and enriches the style of this elegant home, completing the work of the prestigious interior design studio of the Italian Marche region with a touch of warmth and colour.

Barberini & Gunnell

Design studio

Barberini & Gunnell Design Studio was appointed to take care of the project of Villa Virginia near Forte dei Marmi, a project commissioned to them by Maestro Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica.

Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 by architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell and is the result of a passion pursued for a long time, to think of design as a work of art, far from the industrial reality of large numbers, thus creating limited series and unique pieces.
